Sixty-plus years ago, a group of Huntington Beach residents chartered Lodge #1959 and planted something that has outlasted countless trends along this stretch of the Southern California coast. Today the lodge draws a crowd that genuinely likes each other, which is why first-time visitors at a Crab Fest or a bingo night tend to come back the following week.

The live music nights here have a reputation of their own. Bands set up, the decibel meter gets watched (more loosely than it used to be, regulars will tell you), and by the third set the room is exactly what a Friday night should feel like. The 4.7-star rating across nearly 200 reviews is not an accident. It reflects a place that actually delivers on the promise of a good time.

Beyond the social calendar, Lodge #1959 channels its energy into community service across Huntington Beach and Orange County. Members fund scholarships, support veterans, and show up when neighbors need help. The fraternal mission is real here, not a tagline on a plaque.

What We Offer

Lodge #1959 runs a full calendar that gives members reasons to show up every single week. Bingo nights are a crowd favorite, loud and fun in the best possible way. Live music events bring in local and regional acts, with the room loosening up noticeably as the sets progress. Seasonal events like the annual Crab Fest draw members and guests who come specifically for the combination of good food, a great band, and a room full of people who know how to have a good time.

Membership opens the door to a private clubhouse, a full bar, and a social network that extends well beyond Huntington Beach through the national BPOE organization. The lodge also offers meeting space for committees and community groups, and its charitable programs give members a direct way to invest in local schools, youth programs, and veteran support. If you have been thinking about joining, the best first step is simply showing up to one of the public events and seeing what the place feels like.

"Good crowd when playing oldies until 3rd set (4 set gig) They have a decibal meter, to not go over 80 the 1st two sets-yikes! As of 1/2024, they are a bit more lenient with the DB meter. After that it's better. Nice bar area, cool people working there."
